Empower

Our goal is to give black adolescent girls the tools to live happy and healthy lives. Our programs are designed to teach young girls of color that they are ultimately in control of their bodies, hearts and minds. They can choose what to believe about themselves, how they think and how they express themselves to the world. In discovering more about themselves, they will be empowered to know they were born enough and inherently worthy. We have created a safe space to come as you are, without judgment, and be comfortable living as the best version of yourself.

Learn

We teach the importance of body awareness and give tools to enhance the mind-body connection. We reflect on relevant African American history and shed light on ancestral and generational trauma that affects how society views black girls and how they are taught to view themselves. Our hope is to strengthen confidence and self-love by helping adolescents understand their bodies, minds and ancestry.

African tradition has always emphasized learning from our elders. Our community foundation is built on mentorship and growth, while continuing to pass on the lessons learned to the next generation.
